University in numbers

Lithuanian University of Agriculture includes the following subdivisions: 5 faculties - Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Economics and Management, Forestry, Water and Land Management; 3 institutes - Institute of Environment, Institute of Fundamental Sciences and Institute of Rural Culture; 32 departments and centres; Park of Agricultural Science and Technologies; Experimental station; Training farm.

At present University has 7.310 students, of which:

·       6515 - first cycle (undergraduate Bachelor) students

·       3195 - full-time students,

·       3320 - part-time students

·         715 - Master students,

·           80 - doctoral students.

Pedagogical and scientific personnel of the University - 465 people: 48 professors and doctor habilitatus, 196 associated professors, 178 lectors and assistants, 43 researchers. Administration and supplementary staff - 697.

The University occupies the area of 500 ha. There are 5 training buildings, experimental station, training farm, training premises with total of 82 lecturing rooms, 80 laboratories, library with funds of 522.000 books (volumes).

The integral part of LZUU are two research institutes: Water Management Institute in Kaunas (www.waterland.lt) and Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Raudondvaris, near Kaunas (www.mei.lt/engl/).
