Goals
of International Department
- Providing information to academic staff and students;
- Assistance for training , academic and student exchange;
- Initiation and administration of university bilateral agreements;
- Initiation, development and administration of international projects;
- Support in developing integration strategy.
Bilateral agreements of University
International Department initiates and administrates the bilateral agreements of University
with foreign universities. The agreements initiate the cooperation between
the researchers of universities, make easier the
realisation of different international research and study projects.

International
programmes and projects includes such cooperation:
a) Nordic-Baltic cooperation
b) Joint projects with the EU countries
c) Joint projects with USA
Students and staff members of the LZUU are having the
training and education opportunities abroad with the assistance of
International Department. The exchanges are taking place in frame of
bilateral agreements, different research and education projects andalso EU
programmes, i.e. ERASMUS programme.

International
Small Business Bureau "Kontaktas "
In cooperation with the University
of Wales, Lampeter
within the British Councils project the International Small Business Bureau
"Kontaktas" has been established as the unit of International
Department. The main goal of Bureau is to develop small business ideas in the
rural areas of Lithuania.

Student
practical training abroad
International bureau "Kontaktas" has already an experience in
organising student practical training abroad. 300 to 400 students have the
opportunity to go for practical training related to their study programme
abroad ( Germany,
UK, Finland, Switzerland,
France).
This is also a good opportunity to improve the foreign language skills, make
acquainted with the host countries culture.
