Transferring
of LZUU credits according ECTS
Lithuania has a credit system where one credit is equivalent to
one week of full time studies and it is equivalent to 1.5 ECTS
credits. Credit is time of works included lecture and self-dependent work with
an average of 40 study hours per week. The academic year includes two
semesters. Each semester comprising 20 week including examination time and it
is equivalent 30 ECTS. One academic year have 40
credits (60 ECTS credits) (including at least 2400
study hours in auditorium). General volume of Bachelor study program in Lithuanian University of Agriculture (LZUU) is not
less than 160 credits (240 ECTS credits). After Bachelor studies the graduate can continue the studies in
Master degree (MSc) studies. Students need to collect 80 credits (120 ECTS credits) for MSc degree.
BACHELOR STUDIES IN LZUU – 160 cr. (240 ECTS cr.)
Social sciences – 40 cr. (20 %) - 60 ECTS cr.;
Basic Technical and Natural Sciences – 60 cr.
(40 %) - 90 ECTS cr.;
Specialty Sciences – 60 cr. (40 %) - 90 ECTS cr.
MASTER DEGREE STUDIES – 80 cr. (ECTS 120 cr.)
Technical and Social Sciences – 10 cr. - 15 ECTS cr.
Specialty Sciences – 40 cr. - 60 ECTS cr.
Master Thesis – 30 cr. 45 ECTS
