Kopenhagos universiteto Gyvybės mokslų fakultetas (LIFE) rengia trumpus intensyvius doktorantūros kursus "Taikomosios statistikos programa R žemės ūkio ir veterinarijos tyrimams" („Applied statistics with R for the agricultural, life and veterinary sciences”).

Kursai vyks 2010 m. rugpjūčio 15-20 d. Latvijos žemės ūkio universitete Jelgavoje. Registracija iki 2010 m. liepos  mėn.1d. Mūsų universiteto studentams nereikia mokėti dalyvio mokesčio. Dalyvavimui finansuoti šiuo metu lėšų neturime, todėl kandidatai patys turėtų pasirūpinti finansavimu. Aplytiksliai reikėtų apie 550 litų visoms išlaidoms.

Is now open for registration. The application form to be filled in is found below. Course information can be found at:

The venue is the Latvia University of Agriculture (http://eng.llu.lv) in Jelgava, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jelgava). NOVA University students pay no fee and get free board and lodging (travel expenditures, however, are not paid). Lodging in Jelgava will be arranged by coordinator. Information for other students and industry is found at URL:

It is expected that participants prepare for the course by familiarising themselves with the basic use of R. This involves downloading and installing the R programme (http://www.r-project.org) and getting acquainted with the command line interface. Freely available, introductory texts in several languages can be found at http://cran.r-project.org/other-docs.html. If participants encounter problems during the preparatory phase, they can contact the coordinator Jens C. Streibig (jcs@life.ku.dk) for assistance.

We would strongly encourage students to bring their own data and project descriptions as the course is ideally suited as starting point for the statistical analysis of own data. Before course start, the participants will receive additional information as well as teaching material.

Binding registration not later than July 1 2010
